SAP CRM Data Consultant (Contract)

Location: England Country: UK
 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide SAP consulting and implementation services to a major project, in which initial migration of data from SAP will be essential, as will ongoing bi-directional data exchange between SAP and the target system. The role will be centred around CRM standard and related custom areas of SAP.

Working as part of the project team including the data architect and SAP functional and development teams, activities will include

Initial data mapping of SAP CRM and related custom areas of SAP, to include

  • extracting data from CRM/related custom areas and describing field usage from a functional as-is perspective, to include creating data report/extraction functional specifications for the development team
  • manual extracts via SE16/SE16n (for example configuration entries)
  • testing and revision of extracts
  • building up options/proposals for initial migration and subsequent integration's including flow of data
  • Create detailed designs for migration and subsequent integration's
  • Refine, define, specify and test migration programs
  • Refine, define, specify and test ongoing integration's

Overall

  • attendance at and input to relevant workshops and meetings
  • periodic agreement of deliverables in line with the project timetable
  • ensuring that solutions adhere to SAP quality assurance and governance procedures, as well as individual project governance procedures fully documenting the work and transferring knowledge as appropriate to other project team members
